Hearts and Bottles

Two celebrations, Heart cakepops for a birthday party and Blue baby bottles for a little bundle of Joy.
I love my little cupcake mold, perfect hearts every time. You will love them too. Keep a look out for a giveaway coming soon.  My first attempt at baby bottles. My daughter was attending a baby shower so I wanted to make her a little boy arrangement to share. I shaped the bottom of my bottle and dipped it first, then added a chocolate candy kiss for the top of the bottle, once the chocolate had set up, I then dipped the bottle nipple. Still some room for improvement, but not bad for my first time around.

Valentine Quickie Treat

Loving all the cute Valentine ideas that everyone is sharing on their blogs. I came across a cute smores take on Valentines on Half Baked blog and came up with my version using chocolate covered graham cookies from the dollar store, and a bag of heart marshmallows from Walmart, a small bit of melted chocolate to seal the deal by drizzling the two... total cost $2.25 makes approx. 16 treats.
Who says cheap can't be sweet and cute.

Superbowl Party

First superbowl party I've attended in quite a few years, as I'm usually the one hosting. This year our youngest daughter held her first Superbowl party, and it was a big HIT. Great food,, friends and family. Where I go, my cakepops follow.  Made footballs for the first time, and they were not easy. Since they were bigger than normal cakepops, difficult to dip. I can see why specialty cakepops come with a bigger price tag, very time consuming. Always fun seeing what you can do. My 12x12 cakepops stand made room for some mini cupcakes also.

Some Favorites to share.

A quick trip today to the Dollar stores and found some cute Valentine glasses. Tall and skinny with LOVE written all over them. May have to go back tomorrow for a few more. And I absolutely love my new Pink and Gray stripped paper straws from TheTomKat Studio to dress up my Cakepops a bit.
